Organizers of an off-the-wall DNA test claimed Thursday it proved\u00a0Michael Jackson<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is the biological father of aspiring singer Brandon Howard \u2014 but a lawyer for the late King of Pop\u2019s estate is crying foul. The alleged genetic match was announced at a bizarre press conference in Beverly Hills that was organized by shipping heir\u00a0Alki David<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and streamed live on his FilmOn.com website.<\/span><\/p>\n

Howard, who is said to be the baby referenced in Jackson\u2019s 1982 hit \u201cBillie Jean,\u201d wasn\u2019t present for the hyped announcement but confirmed in a Facebook post that he gave a DNA sample for the test.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Joseph Goodman, a Beverly Hills dental surgeon, revealed the results, and claimed he obtained a sample of Jackson\u2019s DNA from a dental device that had belonged to the \u201cThriller\u201d singer and was purchased by Goodman at auction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Goodman opened an envelope and pulled from it the results of the test, which indicated that the \u201cprobability\u201d of The Gloved One being a parental match was \u201c99.9 percent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think we have the proof,\u201d Goodman declared as David listened a few feet away. The alleged paperwork, shown to some attendees at the press conference, did not list the names of the test subjects nor did it name the lab that performed the analysis, but David told viewers such tests are typically done anonymously and that other information was redacted as a security safeguard. \u201cI\u2019m sure that there will be doubters and there will be haters and there will be those who create, build a controversy, but it is what it is,\u201d David said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jackson estate lawyer Howard Weitzman told didn\u2019t see things that way, however. \u201cIt sounds like a fraud to me,\u201d Weitzman told the Daily News later Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never heard of the man,\u201d Weitzman said, referring to Howard. \u201cHe\u2019s never made any claims with the estate or with any recognized tribunal that I\u2019m aware of.\u201d Attempts to reach Howard directly were not immediately successful.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never self-proclaimed to be Michael Jackson\u2019s son,\u201d he said in a Facebook video. \u201cI\u2019m definitely not suing the estate. I\u2019m taken care of very well. And also, I make my own cash, okay?\u201d Former child actor Corey Feldman also had a role in Thursday\u2019s \u201ccircus,\u201d sitting beside David during the online reveal. Feldman was friends with Jackson during the iconic singer\u2019s heyday and said he\u2019s now close to Howard. He said Howard agreed to the test to get \u201cpeace of mind.\u201d \u201cThat\u2019s why he did this in the first place. It wasn\u2019t for this circus,\u201d Feldman said. \u201cHis intention was to keep it for himself, his own personal knowledge.\u201d Feldman, 42, said he believes Howard is Jackson\u2019s son. \u201cPersonally, I do, because I\u2019ve never met two people who were more alike in my life,\u201d Feldman said.<\/span><\/p>\n
