The former That ’70s Show actress died Wednesday night, her agent Craig Wyckoff confirms to E! News. She was 43.

Prior to her untimely passing, Kelly—who has previously struggled with addiction—checked herself into a treatment facility, but ultimately lost her battle in the wake of her recovery efforts. She reportedly passed away in her sleep at a California rehab center.

“Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening,” Wyckoff tells E! News. “Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years. I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle.”

He added: “Cause of death has not been issued yet and no death certificate has been issued either.”

Kelly is best known for her portrayal of the promiscuous Laurie Forman on the hit Fox sitcom. She acted as the floozy older sister to Eric Forman, who was played by Topher Grace.

The actress exited the series in 2003 and was replaced by Christina Moore for the show’s sixth season. She later told ABC News she had a drinking problem around the time she left the show.

Since her days on the TV screen, the blond beauty has made headlines for her legal troubles.

Most recently, she was arrested on June 22 for allegedly driving under the influence. The incident marked the second DUI arrest for the actress, who pled guilty to the same charge back in 2010.

She was also arrested for domestic abuse in April 2012, and she was later arrested for assault, following a fight with her husband at her New Orleans home in November 2012.

Our thoughts go out to Lisa’s family and friends.
